CVE-2021-3657 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isync Project and 1 more | 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Isync and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
A flaw was found in mbsync versions prior to 1.4.4. Due to inadequate handling of extremely large (>=2GiB) IMAP literals, malicious or compromised IMAP servers, and hypothetically even external email senders, could cause several different buffer overflows, which could conceivably be exploited for remote code execution.
CVE-2021-3655 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-21 | 2.1 LOW | 3.3 LOW |
A vulnerability was found in the Linux kernel in versions prior to v5.14-rc1. Missing size validations on inbound SCTP packets may allow the kernel to read uninitialized memory.
CVE-2021-3653 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-21 | 6.1 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
A flaw was found in the KVM's AMD code for supporting SVM nested virtualization. The flaw occurs when processing the VMCB (virtual machine control block) provided by the L1 guest to spawn/handle a nested guest (L2). Due to improper validation of the "int_ctl" field, this issue could allow a malicious L1 to enable AVIC support (Advanced Virtual Interrupt Controller) for the L2 guest. As a result, the L2 guest would be allowed to read/write physical pages of the host, resulting in a crash of the entire system, leak of sensitive data or potential guest-to-host escape. This flaw affects Linux kernel versions prior to 5.14-rc7.
CVE-2021-3640 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 17 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.9 MEDIUM | 7.0 HIGH |
A flaw use-after-free in function sco_sock_sendmsg() of the Linux kernel HCI subsystem was found in the way user calls ioct UFFDIO_REGISTER or other way triggers race condition of the call sco_conn_del() together with the call sco_sock_sendmsg() with the expected controllable faulting memory page. A privileged local user could use this flaw to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2021-3634 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Libssh and 3 more | 7 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libssh and 4 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.0 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
A flaw has been found in libssh in versions prior to 0.9.6. The SSH protocol keeps track of two shared secrets during the lifetime of the session. One of them is called secret_hash and the other session_id. Initially, both of them are the same, but after key re-exchange, previous session_id is kept and used as an input to new secret_hash. Historically, both of these buffers had shared length variable, which worked as long as these buffers were same. But the key re-exchange operation can also change the key exchange method, which can be based on hash of different size, eventually creating "secret_hash" of different size than the session_id has. This becomes an issue when the session_id memory is zeroed or when it is used again during second key re-exchange.
CVE-2021-3630 | 3 Debian, Djvulibre Project, Fedoraproject | 3 Debian Linux, Djvulibre, Fedora | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |

CVE-2021-3618 | 5 Debian, F5, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Debian Linux, Nginx, Fedora and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 7.4 HIGH |
ALPACA is an application layer protocol content confusion attack, exploiting TLS servers implementing different protocols but using compatible certificates, such as multi-domain or wildcard certificates. A MiTM attacker having access to victim's traffic at the TCP/IP layer can redirect traffic from one subdomain to another, resulting in a valid TLS session. This breaks the authentication of TLS and cross-protocol attacks may be possible where the behavior of one protocol service may compromise the other at the application layer.
CVE-2021-3612 | 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 3 more | 26 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 23 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.2 HIGH | 7.8 HIGH |
An out-of-bounds memory write flaw was found in the Linux kernel's joystick devices subsystem in versions before 5.9-rc1, in the way the user calls ioctl JSIOCSBTNMAP. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or possibly escalate their privileges on the system. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.
CVE-2021-3608 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Qemu | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Qemu | 2024-11-21 | 4.9 MEDIUM | 6.0 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in the QEMU implementation of VMWare's paravirtual RDMA device in versions prior to 6.1.0. The issue occurs while handling a "PVRDMA_REG_DSRHIGH" write from the guest and may result in a crash of QEMU or cause undefined behavior due to the access of an uninitialized pointer. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.

An integer overflow was found in the QEMU implementation of VMWare's paravirtual RDMA device in versions prior to 6.1.0. The issue occurs while handling a "PVRDMA_REG_DSRHIGH" write from the guest due to improper input validation. This flaw allows a privileged guest user to make QEMU allocate a large amount of memory, resulting in a denial of service. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
