XStream is a simple library to serialize objects to XML and back again. In affected versions this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to load and execute arbitrary code from a remote host only by manipulating the processed input stream. A user is only affected if using the version out of the box with JDK 1.7u21 or below. However, this scenario can be adjusted easily to an external Xalan that works regardless of the version of the Java runtime. No user is affected, who followed the recommendation to setup XStream's security framework with a whitelist limited to the minimal required types. XStream 1.4.18 uses no longer a blacklist by default, since it cannot be secured for general purpose.
CVE-2021-35515 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Oracle | 26 Commons Compress, Active Iq Unified Manager, Oncommand Insight and 23 more | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
When reading a specially crafted 7Z archive, the construction of the list of codecs that decompress an entry can result in an infinite loop. This could be used to mount a denial of service attack against services that use Compress' sevenz package.
CVE-2021-32809 | 3 Ckeditor, Fedoraproject, Oracle | 10 Ckeditor, Fedora, Application Express and 7 more | 2024-02-28 | 3.5 LOW | 5.4 MEDIUM |

CVE-2021-29425 | 4 Apache, Debian, Netapp and 1 more | 60 Commons Io, Debian Linux, Active Iq Unified Manager and 57 more | 2024-02-28 | 5.8 MEDIUM | 4.8 MEDIUM |
In Apache Commons IO before 2.7, When invoking the method FileNameUtils.normalize with an improper input string, like "//../foo", or "\\..\foo", the result would be the same value, thus possibly providing access to files in the parent directory, but not further above (thus "limited" path traversal), if the calling code would use the result to construct a path value.
CVE-2020-28052 | 3 Apache, Bouncycastle, Oracle | 20 Karaf, Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Banking Corporate Lending Process Management and 17 more | 2024-02-28 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.1 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in Legion of the Bouncy Castle BC Java 1.65 and 1.66. The OpenBSDBCrypt.checkPassword utility method compared incorrect data when checking the password, allowing incorrect passwords to indicate they were matching with previously hashed ones that were different.
CVE-2020-8908 | 4 Google, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more | 13 Guava, Active Iq Unified Manager, Commerce Guided Search and 10 more | 2024-02-28 | 2.1 LOW | 3.3 LOW |
A temp directory creation vulnerability exists in all versions of Guava, allowing an attacker with access to the machine to potentially access data in a temporary directory created by the Guava API com.google.common.io.Files.createTempDir(). By default, on unix-like systems, the created directory is world-readable (readable by an attacker with access to the system). The method in question has been marked @Deprecated in versions 30.0 and later and should not be used. For Android developers, we recommend choosing a temporary directory API provided by Android, such as context.getCacheDir(). For other Java developers, we recommend migrating to the Java 7 API java.nio.file.Files.createTempDirectory() which explicitly configures permissions of 700, or configuring the Java runtime's java.io.tmpdir system property to point to a location whose permissions are appropriately configured.
CVE-2020-13956 | 4 Apache, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more | 17 Httpclient, Active Iq Unified Manager, Snapcenter and 14 more | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
Apache HttpClient versions prior to version 4.5.13 and 5.0.3 can misinterpret malformed authority component in request URIs passed to the library as java.net.URI object and pick the wrong target host for request execution. |
