CVE-2023-25222 1 Gnu 1 Libredwg 2024-02-28 N/A 8.8 HIGH
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exits in GNU LibreDWG v0.12.5 via the bit_read_RC function at bits.c.
CVE-2023-0361 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 2 more 7 Debian Linux, Fedora, Gnutls and 4 more 2024-02-28 N/A 7.4 HIGH
A timing side-channel in the handling of RSA ClientKeyExchange messages was discovered in GnuTLS. This side-channel can be sufficient to recover the key encrypted in the RSA ciphertext across a network in a Bleichenbacher style attack. To achieve a successful decryption the attacker would need to send a large amount of specially crafted messages to the vulnerable server. By recovering the secret from the ClientKeyExchange message, the attacker would be able to decrypt the application data exchanged over that connection.
CVE-2023-25139 1 Gnu 1 Glibc 2024-02-28 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
sprintf in the GNU C Library (glibc) 2.37 has a buffer overflow (out-of-bounds write) in some situations with a correct buffer size. This is unrelated to CWE-676. It may write beyond the bounds of the destination buffer when attempting to write a padded, thousands-separated string representation of a number, if the buffer is allocated the exact size required to represent that number as a string. For example, 1,234,567 (with padding to 13) overflows by two bytes.
CVE-2023-27985 1 Gnu 1 Emacs 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
emacsclient-mail.desktop in Emacs 28.1 through 28.2 is vulnerable to shell command injections through a crafted mailto: URI. This is related to lack of compliance with the Desktop Entry Specification. It is fixed in 29.0.90
CVE-2022-2601 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat 8 Fedora, Grub2, Enterprise Linux Eus and 5 more 2024-02-28 N/A 8.6 HIGH
A buffer overflow was found in grub_font_construct_glyph(). A malicious crafted pf2 font can lead to an overflow when calculating the max_glyph_size value, allocating a smaller than needed buffer for the glyph, this further leads to a buffer overflow and a heap based out-of-bounds write. An attacker may use this vulnerability to circumvent the secure boot mechanism.
CVE-2023-27371 1 Gnu 1 Libmicrohttpd 2024-02-28 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
GNU libmicrohttpd before 0.9.76 allows remote DoS (Denial of Service) due to improper parsing of a multipart/form-data boundary in the postprocessor.c MHD_create_post_processor() method. This allows an attacker to remotely send a malicious HTTP POST packet that includes one or more '\0' bytes in a multipart/form-data boundary field, which - assuming a specific heap layout - will result in an out-of-bounds read and a crash in the find_boundary() function.
CVE-2022-45332 1 Gnu 1 Libredwg 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
LibreDWG v0.12.4.4643 was discovered to contain a heap buffer overflow via the function decode_preR13_section_hdr at decode_r11.c.
CVE-2022-3715 2 Gnu, Redhat 2 Bash, Enterprise Linux 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in the bash package, where a heap-buffer overflow can occur in valid parameter_transform. This issue may lead to memory problems.
CVE-2023-27986 1 Gnu 1 Emacs 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
emacsclient-mail.desktop in Emacs 28.1 through 28.2 is vulnerable to Emacs Lisp code injections through a crafted mailto: URI with unescaped double-quote characters. It is fixed in 29.0.90.
CVE-2022-48303 2 Fedoraproject, Gnu 2 Fedora, Tar 2024-02-28 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
GNU Tar through 1.34 has a one-byte out-of-bounds read that results in use of uninitialized memory for a conditional jump. Exploitation to change the flow of control has not been demonstrated. The issue occurs in from_header in list.c via a V7 archive in which mtime has approximately 11 whitespace characters.
CVE-2021-3999 3 Debian, Gnu, Netapp 15 Debian Linux, Glibc, E-series Performance Analyzer and 12 more 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A flaw was found in glibc. An off-by-one buffer overflow and underflow in getcwd() may lead to memory corruption when the size of the buffer is exactly 1. A local attacker who can control the input buffer and size passed to getcwd() in a setuid program could use this flaw to potentially execute arbitrary code and escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2022-25310 2 Gnu, Redhat 2 Fribidi, Enterprise Linux 2024-02-28 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
A segmentation fault (SEGV) flaw was found in the Fribidi package and affects the fribidi_remove_bidi_marks() function of the lib/fribidi.c file. This flaw allows an attacker to pass a specially crafted file to Fribidi, leading to a crash and causing a denial of service.
CVE-2022-2469 2 Debian, Gnu 2 Debian Linux, Gnu Sasl 2024-02-28 N/A 8.1 HIGH
GNU SASL libgsasl server-side read-out-of-bounds with malicious authenticated GSS-API client
CVE-2022-39046 2 Gnu, Netapp 12 Glibc, H300s, H300s Firmware and 9 more 2024-02-28 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in the GNU C Library (glibc) 2.36. When the syslog function is passed a crafted input string larger than 1024 bytes, it reads uninitialized memory from the heap and prints it to the target log file, potentially revealing a portion of the contents of the heap.
CVE-2021-4209 3 Gnu, Netapp, Redhat 6 Gnutls, Active Iq Unified Manager, Hci Bootstrap Os and 3 more 2024-02-28 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in GnuTLS. As Nettle's hash update functions internally call memcpy, providing zero-length input may cause undefined behavior. This flaw leads to a denial of service after authentication in rare circumstances.
CVE-2022-25308 2 Gnu, Redhat 2 Fribidi, Enterprise Linux 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A stack-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the Fribidi package. This flaw allows an attacker to pass a specially crafted file to the Fribidi application, which leads to a possible memory leak or a denial of service.
CVE-2021-3695 4 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Netapp and 1 more 14 Fedora, Grub2, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 11 more 2024-02-28 4.4 MEDIUM 4.5 MEDIUM
A crafted 16-bit grayscale PNG image may lead to a out-of-bounds write in the heap area. An attacker may take advantage of that to cause heap data corruption or eventually arbitrary code execution and circumvent secure boot protections. This issue has a high complexity to be exploited as an attacker needs to perform some triage over the heap layout to achieve signifcant results, also the values written into the memory are repeated three times in a row making difficult to produce valid payloads. This flaw affects grub2 versions prior grub-2.12.
CVE-2022-39832 2 Fedoraproject, Gnu 2 Fedora, Pspp 2024-02-28 N/A 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in PSPP 1.6.2. There is a heap-based buffer overflow at the function read_string in utilities/pspp-dump-sav.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact.
CVE-2022-39028 4 Debian, Gnu, Mit and 1 more 4 Debian Linux, Inetutils, Kerberos 5 and 1 more 2024-02-28 N/A 7.5 HIGH
telnetd in GNU Inetutils through 2.3, MIT krb5-appl through 1.0.3, and derivative works has a NULL pointer dereference via 0xff 0xf7 or 0xff 0xf8. In a typical installation, the telnetd application would crash but the telnet service would remain available through inetd. However, if the telnetd application has many crashes within a short time interval, the telnet service would become unavailable after inetd logs a "telnet/tcp server failing (looping), service terminated" error. NOTE: MIT krb5-appl is not supported upstream but is shipped by a few Linux distributions. The affected code was removed from the supported MIT Kerberos 5 (aka krb5) product many years ago, at version 1.8.
CVE-2022-25309 2 Gnu, Redhat 2 Fribidi, Enterprise Linux 2024-02-28 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
A heap-based buffer overflow flaw was found in the Fribidi package and affects the fribidi_cap_rtl_to_unicode() function of the fribidi-char-sets-cap-rtl.c file. This flaw allows an attacker to pass a specially crafted file to the Fribidi application with the '--caprtl' option, leading to a crash and causing a denial of service.
