Linux kernel versions 4.9+ can be forced to make very expensive calls to tcp_collapse_ofo_queue() and tcp_prune_ofo_queue() for every incoming packet which can lead to a denial of service.
CVE-2018-17963 4 Canonical, Debian, Qemu and 1 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Qemu and 3 more 2024-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
qemu_deliver_packet_iov in net/net.c in Qemu accepts packet sizes greater than INT_MAX, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact.
CVE-2017-7539 2 Qemu, Redhat 4 Qemu, Enterprise Linux, Openstack and 1 more 2024-02-28 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
An assertion-failure flaw was found in Qemu before 2.10.1, in the Network Block Device (NBD) server's initial connection negotiation, where the I/O coroutine was undefined. This could crash the qemu-nbd server if a client sent unexpected data during connection negotiation. A remote user or process could use this flaw to crash the qemu-nbd server resulting in denial of service.
CVE-2018-10930 4 Debian, Gluster, Opensuse and 1 more 7 Debian Linux, Glusterfs, Leap and 4 more 2024-02-28 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in RPC request using gfs3_rename_req in glusterfs server. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to write to a destination outside the gluster volume.
CVE-2018-10915 4 Canonical, Debian, Postgresql and 1 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Postgresql and 6 more 2024-02-28 6.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A vulnerability was found in libpq, the default PostgreSQL client library where libpq failed to properly reset its internal state between connections. If an affected version of libpq was used with "host" or "hostaddr" connection parameters from untrusted input, attackers could bypass client-side connection security features, obtain access to higher privileged connections or potentially cause other impact through SQL injection, by causing the PQescape() functions to malfunction. Postgresql versions before 10.5, 9.6.10, 9.5.14, 9.4.19, and 9.3.24 are affected.
CVE-2017-15113 2 Ovirt, Redhat 2 Ovirt, Virtualization 2024-02-28 3.5 LOW 6.6 MEDIUM
ovirt-engine before version 4.1.7.6 with log level set to DEBUG includes passwords in the log file without masking. Only administrators can change the log level and only administrators can access the logs. This presents a risk when debug-level logs are shared with vendors or other parties to troubleshoot issues.
CVE-2017-15119 4 Canonical, Debian, Qemu and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Qemu and 1 more 2024-02-28 5.0 MEDIUM 8.6 HIGH
The Network Block Device (NBD) server in Quick Emulator (QEMU) before 2.11 is vulnerable to a denial of service issue. It could occur if a client sent large option requests, making the server waste CPU time on reading up to 4GB per request. A client could use this flaw to keep the NBD server from serving other requests, resulting in DoS.
CVE-2018-10862 1 Redhat 4 Enterprise Linux, Jboss Enterprise Application Platform, Virtualization and 1 more 2024-02-28 4.9 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
WildFly Core before version 6.0.0.Alpha3 does not properly validate file paths in .war archives, allowing for the extraction of crafted .war archives to overwrite arbitrary files. This is an instance of the 'Zip Slip' vulnerability.
CVE-2018-14654 2 Debian, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux Server, Enterprise Linux Virtualization and 3 more 2024-02-28 8.5 HIGH 6.5 MEDIUM
The Gluster file system through version 4.1.4 is vulnerable to abuse of the 'features/index' translator. A remote attacker with access to mount volumes could exploit this via the 'GF_XATTROP_ENTRY_IN_KEY' xattrop to create arbitrary, empty files on the target server.
CVE-2019-1559 13 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 10 more 90 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 87 more 2024-02-28 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
If an application encounters a fatal protocol error and then calls SSL_shutdown() twice (once to send a close_notify, and once to receive one) then OpenSSL can respond differently to the calling application if a 0 byte record is received with invalid padding compared to if a 0 byte record is received with an invalid MAC. If the application then behaves differently based on that in a way that is detectable to the remote peer, then this amounts to a padding oracle that could be used to decrypt data. In order for this to be exploitable "non-stitched" ciphersuites must be in use. Stitched ciphersuites are optimised implementations of certain commonly used ciphersuites. Also the application must call SSL_shutdown() twice even if a protocol error has occurred (applications should not do this but some do anyway). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2r (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2q).
CVE-2018-8088 3 Oracle, Qos, Redhat 14 Goldengate Application Adapters, Goldengate Stream Analytics, Utilities Framework and 11 more 2024-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
org.slf4j.ext.EventData in the slf4j-ext module in QOS.CH SLF4J before 1.8.0-beta2 allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions via crafted data. EventData in the slf4j-ext module in QOS.CH SLF4J, has been fixed in SLF4J versions 1.7.26 later and in the 2.0.x series.
CVE-2018-3639 12 Arm, Canonical, Debian and 9 more 321 Cortex-a, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 318 more 2024-02-28 2.1 LOW 5.5 MEDIUM
Systems with microprocessors utilizing speculative execution and speculative execution of memory reads before the addresses of all prior memory writes are known may allow unauthorized disclosure of information to an attacker with local user access via a side-channel analysis, aka Speculative Store Bypass (SSB), Variant 4.
CVE-2018-1000180 5 Bouncycastle, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 21 Fips Java Api, Legion-of-the-bouncy-castle-java-crytography-api, Debian Linux and 18 more 2024-02-28 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Bouncy Castle BC 1.54 - 1.59, BC-FJA 1.0.0, BC-FJA 1.0.1 and earlier have a flaw in the Low-level interface to RSA key pair generator, specifically RSA Key Pairs generated in low-level API with added certainty may have less M-R tests than expected. This appears to be fixed in versions BC 1.60 beta 4 and later, BC-FJA 1.0.2 and later.
CVE-2018-13405 6 Canonical, Debian, F5 and 3 more 27 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager and 24 more 2024-02-28 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
The inode_init_owner function in fs/inode.c in the Linux kernel through 3.16 allows local users to create files with an unintended group ownership, in a scenario where a directory is SGID to a certain group and is writable by a user who is not a member of that group. Here, the non-member can trigger creation of a plain file whose group ownership is that group. The intended behavior was that the non-member can trigger creation of a directory (but not a plain file) whose group ownership is that group. The non-member can escalate privileges by making the plain file executable and SGID.
CVE-2018-6764 3 Canonical, Debian, Redhat 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 4 more 2024-02-28 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
util/virlog.c in libvirt does not properly determine the hostname on LXC container startup, which allows local guest OS users to bypass an intended container protection mechanism and execute arbitrary commands via a crafted NSS module.
CVE-2018-1088 3 Debian, Opensuse, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Leap, Enterprise Linux Server and 3 more 2024-02-28 6.8 MEDIUM 8.1 HIGH
A privilege escalation flaw was found in gluster 3.x snapshot scheduler. Any gluster client allowed to mount gluster volumes could also mount shared gluster storage volume and escalate privileges by scheduling malicious cronjob via symlink.
CVE-2018-10237 3 Google, Oracle, Redhat 18 Guava, Banking Payments, Communications Ip Service Activator and 15 more 2024-02-28 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
Unbounded memory allocation in Google Guava 11.0 through 24.x before 24.1.1 allows remote attackers to conduct denial of service attacks against servers that depend on this library and deserialize attacker-provided data, because the AtomicDoubleArray class (when serialized with Java serialization) and the CompoundOrdering class (when serialized with GWT serialization) perform eager allocation without appropriate checks on what a client has sent and whether the data size is reasonable.
CVE-2018-1059 3 Canonical, Dpdk, Redhat 9 Ubuntu Linux, Data Plane Development Kit, Ceph Storage and 6 more 2024-02-28 2.9 LOW 6.1 MEDIUM
The DPDK vhost-user interface does not check to verify that all the requested guest physical range is mapped and contiguous when performing Guest Physical Addresses to Host Virtual Addresses translations. This may lead to a malicious guest exposing vhost-user backend process memory. All versions before 18.02.1 are vulnerable.
CVE-2018-7750 3 Debian, Paramiko, Redhat 11 Debian Linux, Paramiko, Ansible Engine and 8 more 2024-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
transport.py in the SSH server implementation of Paramiko before 1.17.6, 1.18.x before 1.18.5, 2.0.x before 2.0.8, 2.1.x before 2.1.5, 2.2.x before 2.2.3, 2.3.x before 2.3.2, and 2.4.x before 2.4.1 does not properly check whether authentication is completed before processing other requests, as demonstrated by channel-open. A customized SSH client can simply skip the authentication step.
CVE-2018-1073 2 Ovirt, Redhat 4 Ovirt-engine, Enterprise Linux, Virtualization and 1 more 2024-02-28 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
The web console login form in ovirt-engine before version 4.2.3 returned different errors for non-existent users and invalid passwords, allowing an attacker to discover the names of valid user accounts.
