A use after free vulnerability in ip_reass() in ip_input.c of libslirp 4.2.0 and prior releases allows crafted packets to cause a denial of service.
CVE-2020-1971 8 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 5 more 46 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 43 more 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
The X.509 GeneralName type is a generic type for representing different types of names. One of those name types is known as EDIPartyName. OpenSSL provides a function GENERAL_NAME_cmp which compares different instances of a GENERAL_NAME to see if they are equal or not. This function behaves incorrectly when both GENERAL_NAMEs contain an EDIPARTYNAME. A NULL pointer dereference and a crash may occur leading to a possible denial of service attack. OpenSSL itself uses the GENERAL_NAME_cmp function for two purposes: 1) Comparing CRL distribution point names between an available CRL and a CRL distribution point embedded in an X509 certificate 2) When verifying that a timestamp response token signer matches the timestamp authority name (exposed via the API functions TS_RESP_verify_response and TS_RESP_verify_token) If an attacker can control both items being compared then that attacker could trigger a crash. For example if the attacker can trick a client or server into checking a malicious certificate against a malicious CRL then this may occur. Note that some applications automatically download CRLs based on a URL embedded in a certificate. This checking happens prior to the signatures on the certificate and CRL being verified. OpenSSL's s_server, s_client and verify tools have support for the "-crl_download" option which implements automatic CRL downloading and this attack has been demonstrated to work against those tools. Note that an unrelated bug means that affected versions of OpenSSL cannot parse or construct correct encodings of EDIPARTYNAME. However it is possible to construct a malformed EDIPARTYNAME that OpenSSL's parser will accept and hence trigger this attack. All OpenSSL 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 versions are affected by this issue. Other OpenSSL releases are out of support and have not been checked. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1i (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1h). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2x (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2w).
CVE-2020-1967 10 Broadcom, Debian, Fedoraproject and 7 more 26 Fabric Operating System, Debian Linux, Fedora and 23 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Server or client applications that call the SSL_check_chain() function during or after a TLS 1.3 handshake may crash due to a NULL pointer dereference as a result of incorrect handling of the "signature_algorithms_cert" TLS extension. The crash occurs if an invalid or unrecognised signature algorithm is received from the peer. This could be exploited by a malicious peer in a Denial of Service attack. OpenSSL version 1.1.1d, 1.1.1e, and 1.1.1f are affected by this issue. This issue did not affect OpenSSL versions prior to 1.1.1d. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1g (Affected 1.1.1d-1.1.1f).
CVE-2020-1946 3 Apache, Debian, Fedoraproject 3 Spamassassin, Debian Linux, Fedora 2024-11-21 10.0 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In Apache SpamAssassin before 3.4.5, malicious rule configuration (.cf) files can be configured to run system commands without any output or errors. With this, exploits can be injected in a number of scenarios. In addition to upgrading to SA version 3.4.5, users should only use update channels or 3rd party .cf files from trusted places.
CVE-2020-1945 5 Apache, Canonical, Fedoraproject and 2 more 50 Ant, Ubuntu Linux, Fedora and 47 more 2024-11-21 3.3 LOW 6.3 MEDIUM
Apache Ant 1.1 to 1.9.14 and 1.10.0 to 1.10.7 uses the default temporary directory identified by the Java system property java.io.tmpdir for several tasks and may thus leak sensitive information. The fixcrlf and replaceregexp tasks also copy files from the temporary directory back into the build tree allowing an attacker to inject modified source files into the build process.
CVE-2020-1938 7 Apache, Blackberry, Debian and 4 more 21 Geode, Tomcat, Good Control and 18 more 2024-11-21 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
When using the Apache JServ Protocol (AJP), care must be taken when trusting incoming connections to Apache Tomcat. Tomcat treats AJP connections as having higher trust than, for example, a similar HTTP connection. If such connections are available to an attacker, they can be exploited in ways that may be surprising. In Apache Tomcat 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.0.30, 8.5.0 to 8.5.50 and 7.0.0 to 7.0.99, Tomcat shipped with an AJP Connector enabled by default that listened on all configured IP addresses. It was expected (and recommended in the security guide) that this Connector would be disabled if not required. This vulnerability report identified a mechanism that allowed: - returning arbitrary files from anywhere in the web application - processing any file in the web application as a JSP Further, if the web application allowed file upload and stored those files within the web application (or the attacker was able to control the content of the web application by some other means) then this, along with the ability to process a file as a JSP, made remote code execution possible. It is important to note that mitigation is only required if an AJP port is accessible to untrusted users. Users wishing to take a defence-in-depth approach and block the vector that permits returning arbitrary files and execution as JSP may upgrade to Apache Tomcat 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later. A number of changes were made to the default AJP Connector configuration in 9.0.31 to harden the default configuration. It is likely that users upgrading to 9.0.31, 8.5.51 or 7.0.100 or later will need to make small changes to their configurations.
CVE-2020-1934 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more 11 Http Server, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 8 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 to 2.4.41, mod_proxy_ftp may use uninitialized memory when proxying to a malicious FTP server.
CVE-2020-1927 8 Apache, Broadcom, Canonical and 5 more 14 Http Server, Brocade Fabric Operating System, Ubuntu Linux and 11 more 2024-11-21 5.8 MEDIUM 6.1 MEDIUM
In Apache HTTP Server 2.4.0 to 2.4.41, redirects configured with mod_rewrite that were intended to be self-referential might be fooled by encoded newlines and redirect instead to an an unexpected URL within the request URL.
CVE-2020-1760 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 3 more 2024-11-21 4.3 MEDIUM 5.8 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Ceph Object Gateway, where it supports request sent by an anonymous user in Amazon S3. This flaw could lead to potential XSS attacks due to the lack of proper neutralization of untrusted input.
CVE-2020-1759 3 Fedoraproject, Linuxfoundation, Redhat 5 Fedora, Ceph, Ceph Storage and 2 more 2024-11-21 5.8 MEDIUM 6.4 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in Red Hat Ceph Storage 4 and Red Hat Openshift Container Storage 4.2 where, A nonce reuse vulnerability was discovered in the secure mode of the messenger v2 protocol, which can allow an attacker to forge auth tags and potentially manipulate the data by leveraging the reuse of a nonce in a session. Messages encrypted using a reused nonce value are susceptible to serious confidentiality and integrity attacks.
CVE-2020-1753 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 4 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible Engine and 1 more 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 5.0 MEDIUM
A security flaw was found in Ansible Engine, all Ansible 2.7.x versions prior to 2.7.17, all Ansible 2.8.x versions prior to 2.8.11 and all Ansible 2.9.x versions prior to 2.9.7, when managing kubernetes using the k8s module. Sensitive parameters such as passwords and tokens are passed to kubectl from the command line, not using an environment variable or an input configuration file. This will disclose passwords and tokens from process list and no_log directive from debug module would not have any effect making these secrets being disclosed on stdout and log files.
CVE-2020-1747 4 Fedoraproject, Opensuse, Oracle and 1 more 4 Fedora, Leap, Communications Cloud Native Core Network Function Cloud Native Environment and 1 more 2024-11-21 10.0 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
A vulnerability was discovered in the PyYAML library in versions before 5.3.1, where it is susceptible to arbitrary code execution when it processes untrusted YAML files through the full_load method or with the FullLoader loader. Applications that use the library to process untrusted input may be vulnerable to this flaw. An attacker could use this flaw to execute arbitrary code on the system by abusing the python/object/new constructor.
CVE-2020-1740 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more 2024-11-21 1.9 LOW 3.9 LOW
A flaw was found in Ansible Engine when using Ansible Vault for editing encrypted files. When a user executes "ansible-vault edit", another user on the same computer can read the old and new secret, as it is created in a temporary file with mkstemp and the returned file descriptor is closed and the method write_data is called to write the existing secret in the file. This method will delete the file before recreating it insecurely. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2020-1739 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more 2024-11-21 3.3 LOW 3.9 LOW
A flaw was found in Ansible 2.7.16 and prior, 2.8.8 and prior, and 2.9.5 and prior when a password is set with the argument "password" of svn module, it is used on svn command line, disclosing to other users within the same node. An attacker could take advantage by reading the cmdline file from that particular PID on the procfs.
CVE-2020-1736 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 5 Fedora, Ansible, Ansible Tower and 2 more 2024-11-21 2.1 LOW 2.2 LOW
A flaw was found in Ansible Engine when a file is moved using atomic_move primitive as the file mode cannot be specified. This sets the destination files world-readable if the destination file does not exist and if the file exists, the file could be changed to have less restrictive permissions before the move. This could lead to the disclosure of sensitive data. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2020-1735 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more 2024-11-21 3.6 LOW 4.2 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the Ansible Engine when the fetch module is used. An attacker could intercept the module, inject a new path, and then choose a new destination path on the controller node. All versions in 2.7.x, 2.8.x and 2.9.x branches are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2020-1733 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Ansible and 3 more 2024-11-21 3.7 LOW 5.0 MEDIUM
A race condition flaw was found in Ansible Engine 2.7.17 and prior, 2.8.9 and prior, 2.9.6 and prior when running a playbook with an unprivileged become user. When Ansible needs to run a module with become user, the temporary directory is created in /var/tmp. This directory is created with "umask 77 && mkdir -p <dir>"; this operation does not fail if the directory already exists and is owned by another user. An attacker could take advantage to gain control of the become user as the target directory can be retrieved by iterating '/proc/<pid>/cmdline'.
CVE-2020-1730 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Libssh and 3 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Libssh and 3 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in libssh versions before 0.8.9 and before 0.9.4 in the way it handled AES-CTR (or DES ciphers if enabled) ciphers. The server or client could crash when the connection hasn't been fully initialized and the system tries to cleanup the ciphers when closing the connection. The biggest threat from this vulnerability is system availability.
CVE-2020-1695 2 Fedoraproject, Redhat 2 Fedora, Resteasy 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in all resteasy 3.x.x versions prior to 3.12.0.Final and all resteasy 4.x.x versions prior to 4.6.0.Final, where an improper input validation results in returning an illegal header that integrates into the server's response. This flaw may result in an injection, which leads to unexpected behavior when the HTTP response is constructed.
CVE-2020-1597 2 Fedoraproject, Microsoft 4 Fedora, Asp.net Core, Visual Studio 2017 and 1 more 2024-11-21 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A denial of service vulnerability exists when ASP.NET Core improperly handles web requests. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause a denial of service against an ASP.NET Core web application. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely, without authentication. A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing specially crafted requests to the ASP.NET Core application. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the ASP.NET Core web application handles web requests.
