CVE-2023-3611 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's net/sched: sch_qfq component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The qfq_change_agg() function in net/sched/sch_qfq.c allows an out-of-bounds write because lmax is updated according to packet sizes without bounds checks. We recommend upgrading past commit 3e337087c3b5805fe0b8a46ba622a962880b5d64.

NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.
CVE-2023-3487 | 1 Silabs | 1 Gecko Bootloader | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.7 HIGH |
An integer overflow in Silicon Labs Gecko Bootloader version 4.3.1 and earlier allows unbounded memory access when reading from or writing to storage slots.
CVE-2023-3463 | 1 Ge | 1 Cimplicity | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.6 MEDIUM |
All versions of GE Digital CIMPLICITY that are not adhering to SDG guidance and accepting documents from untrusted sources are vulnerable to memory corruption issues due to insufficient input validation, including issues such as out-of-bounds reads and writes, use-after-free, stack-based buffer overflows, uninitialized pointers, and a heap-based buffer overflow. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
CVE-2023-3430 | 2 Openimageio, Redhat | 2 Openimageio, Linux | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
A vulnerability was found in OpenImageIO, where a heap buffer overflow exists in the src/gif.imageio/gifinput.cpp file. This flaw allows a remote attacker to pass a specially crafted file to the application, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow and could cause a crash, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2023-3428 | 2 Fedoraproject, Imagemagick | 3 Extra Packages For Enterprise Linux, Fedora, Imagemagick | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.2 MEDIUM |
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was found in coders/tiff.c in ImageMagick. This issue may allow a local attacker to trick the user into opening a specially crafted file, resulting in an application crash and denial of service.
CVE-2023-3341 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Isc | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Bind | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
The code that processes control channel messages sent to `named` calls certain functions recursively during packet parsing. Recursion depth is only limited by the maximum accepted packet size; depending on the environment, this may cause the packet-parsing code to run out of available stack memory, causing `named` to terminate unexpectedly. Since each incoming control channel message is fully parsed before its contents are authenticated, exploiting this flaw does not require the attacker to hold a valid RNDC key; only network access to the control channel's configured TCP port is necessary. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.2.0 through 9.16.43, 9.18.0 through 9.18.18, 9.19.0 through 9.19.16, 9.9.3-S1 through 9.16.43-S1, and 9.18.0-S1 through 9.18.18-S1.
CVE-2023-3195 | 2 Fedoraproject, Imagemagick | 3 Extra Packages For Enterprise Linux, Fedora, Imagemagick | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
A stack-based buffer overflow issue was found in ImageMagick's coders/tiff.c. This flaw allows an attacker to trick the user into opening a specially crafted malicious tiff file, causing an application to crash, resulting in a denial of service.
CVE-2023-3180 | 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Qemu | 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Qemu | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 6.0 MEDIUM |
A flaw was found in the QEMU virtual crypto device while handling data encryption/decryption requests in virtio_crypto_handle_sym_req. There is no check for the value of `src_len` and `dst_len` in virtio_crypto_sym_op_helper, potentially leading to a heap buffer overflow when the two values differ.
CVE-2023-3164 | 2 Libtiff, Redhat | 2 Libtiff, Enterprise Linux | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
A heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability was found in LibTIFF, in extractImageSection() at tools/tiffcrop.c:7916 and tools/tiffcrop.c:7801. This flaw allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted tiff file.
CVE-2023-3138 | 2 Redhat, X.org | 2 Enterprise Linux, Libx11 | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
A vulnerability was found in libX11. The security flaw occurs because the functions in src/InitExt.c in libX11 do not check that the values provided for the Request, Event, or Error IDs are within the bounds of the arrays that those functions write to, using those IDs as array indexes. They trust that they were called with values provided by an Xserver adhering to the bounds specified in the X11 protocol, as all X servers provided by X.Org do. As the protocol only specifies a single byte for these values, an out-of-bounds value provided by a malicious server (or a malicious proxy-in-the-middle) can only overwrite other portions of the Display structure and not write outside the bounds of the Display structure itself, possibly causing the client to crash with this memory corruption.
CVE-2023-3110 | 1 Silabs | 1 Unify Software Development Kit | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 9.6 CRITICAL |
Description: A vulnerability in SiLabs Unify Gateway 1.3.1 and earlier allows an unauthenticated attacker within Z-Wave range to overflow a stack buffer, leading to arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2023-3090 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
A heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux Kernel ipvlan network driver can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The out-of-bounds write is caused by missing skb->cb initialization in the ipvlan network driver. The vulnerability is reachable if CONFIG_IPVLAN is enabled. We recommend upgrading past commit 90cbed5247439a966b645b34eb0a2e037836ea8e.
