CVE-2017-7764 | 2 Debian, Mozilla | 4 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 1 more | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
Characters from the "Canadian Syllabics" unicode block can be mixed with characters from other unicode blocks in the addressbar instead of being rendered as their raw "punycode" form, allowing for domain name spoofing attacks through character confusion. The current Unicode standard allows characters from "Aspirational Use Scripts" such as Canadian Syllabics to be mixed with Latin characters in the "moderately restrictive" IDN profile. We have changed Firefox behavior to match the upcoming Unicode version 10.0 which removes this category and treats them as "Limited Use Scripts.". This vulnerability affects Firefox < 54, Firefox ESR < 52.2, and Thunderbird < 52.2.
CVE-2017-7790 | 2 Microsoft, Mozilla | 2 Windows, Firefox | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
On Windows systems, if non-null-terminated strings are copied into the crash reporter for some specific registry keys, stack memory data can be copied until a null is found. This can potentially contain private data from the local system. Note: This attack only affects Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 55.
CVE-2017-7782 | 2 Microsoft, Mozilla | 4 Windows, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 1 more | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |

Note: This attack only affects Windows operating systems. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.3, Firefox ESR < 52.3, and Firefox < 55.
CVE-2017-5466 | 2 Mozilla, Redhat | 9 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Thunderbird and 6 more | 2024-02-28 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.1 MEDIUM |
If a page is loaded from an original site through a hyperlink and contains a redirect to a "data:text/html" URL, triggering a reload will run the reloaded "data:text/html" page with its origin set incorrectly. This allows for a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.1, Firefox ESR < 52.1, and Firefox < 53.
CVE-2018-5108 | 2 Canonical, Mozilla | 2 Ubuntu Linux, Firefox | 2024-02-28 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 4.3 MEDIUM |
A Blob URL can violate origin attribute segregation, allowing it to be accessed from a private browsing tab and for data to be passed between the private browsing tab and a normal tab. This could allow for the leaking of private information specific to the private browsing context. This issue is mitigated by the requirement that the user enter the Blob URL manually in order for the access violation to occur. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 58.
CVE-2017-5450 | 1 Mozilla | 1 Firefox | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
A mechanism to spoof the Firefox for Android addressbar using a "javascript:" URI. On Firefox for Android, the base domain is parsed incorrectly, making the resulting location less visibly a spoofed site and showing an incorrect domain in appended notifications. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 53.
CVE-2016-5297 | 2 Debian, Mozilla | 4 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 1 more | 2024-02-28 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
An error in argument length checking in JavaScript, leading to potential integer overflows or other bounds checking issues. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 45.5, Firefox ESR < 45.5, and Firefox < 50.
CVE-2017-5381 | 1 Mozilla | 1 Firefox | 2024-02-28 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
The "export" function in the Certificate Viewer can force local filesystem navigation when the "common name" in a certificate contains slashes, allowing certificate content to be saved in unsafe locations with an arbitrary filename. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 51.
CVE-2018-5097 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Mozilla and 1 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Firefox and 7 more | 2024-02-28 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
A use-after-free vulnerability can occur during XSL transformations when the source document for the transformation is manipulated by script content during the transformation. This results in a potentially exploitable crash. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.6, Firefox ESR < 52.6, and Firefox < 58.
CVE-2017-7846 | 3 Debian, Mozilla, Redhat | 7 Debian Linux, Thunderbird, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 4 more | 2024-02-28 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
It is possible to execute JavaScript in the parsed RSS feed when RSS feed is viewed as a website, e.g. via "View -> Feed article -> Website" or in the standard format of "View -> Feed article -> default format". This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.5.2.
CVE-2017-7768 | 2 Microsoft, Mozilla | 3 Windows, Firefox, Firefox Esr | 2024-02-28 | 2.1 LOW | 5.5 MEDIUM |
The Mozilla Maintenance Service can be invoked by an unprivileged user to read 32 bytes of any arbitrary file on the local system by convincing the service that it is reading a status file provided by the Mozilla Windows Updater. The Mozilla Maintenance Service executes with privileged access, bypassing system protections against unprivileged users. Note: This attack requires local system access and only affects Windows. Other operating systems are not affected. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 52.2 and Firefox < 54.
CVE-2017-7788 | 1 Mozilla | 1 Firefox | 2024-02-28 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
When an "iframe" has a "sandbox" attribute and its content is specified using "srcdoc", that content does not inherit the containing page's Content Security Policy (CSP) as it should unless the sandbox attribute included "allow-same-origin". This vulnerability affects Firefox < 55.

A mechanism to spoof the addressbar through the user interaction on the addressbar and the "onblur" event. The event could be used by script to affect text display to make the loaded site appear to be different from the one actually loaded within the addressbar. This vulnerability affects Thunderbird < 52.1, Firefox ESR < 52.1, and Firefox < 53.
