An issue was discovered in Mutt before 1.10.1 and NeoMutt before 2018-07-16. pop.c does not forbid characters that may have unsafe interaction with message-cache pathnames, as demonstrated by a '/' character.
CVE-2018-19362 4 Debian, Fasterxml, Oracle and 1 more 12 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Business Process Management Suite and 9 more 2024-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.8 might allow attackers to have unspecified impact by leveraging failure to block the jboss-common-core class from polymorphic deserialization.
CVE-2018-16511 4 Artifex, Canonical, Debian and 1 more 9 Ghostscript, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 6 more 2024-02-28 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Artifex Ghostscript before 9.24. A type confusion in "ztype" could be used by remote attackers able to supply crafted PostScript to crash the interpreter or possibly have unspecified other impact.
CVE-2018-1288 3 Apache, Oracle, Redhat 5 Kafka, Database, Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management and 2 more 2024-02-28 5.5 MEDIUM 5.4 MEDIUM
In Apache Kafka 0.9.0.0 to 0.9.0.1, 0.10.0.0 to 0.10.2.1, 0.11.0.0 to 0.11.0.2, and 1.0.0, authenticated Kafka users may perform action reserved for the Broker via a manually created fetch request interfering with data replication, resulting in data loss.
CVE-2018-10870 1 Redhat 2 Certification, Enterprise Linux 2024-02-28 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
redhat-certification does not properly sanitize paths in rhcertStore.py:__saveResultsFile. A remote attacker could use this flaw to overwrite any file, potentially gaining remote code execution.
CVE-2016-10729 3 Debian, Redhat, Zmanda 3 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Amanda 2024-02-28 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Amanda 3.3.1. A user with backup privileges can trivially compromise a client installation. The "runtar" setuid root binary does not check for additional arguments supplied after --create, allowing users to manipulate commands and perform command injection as root.
CVE-2018-10903 3 Canonical, Cryptography, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Python-cryptography, Openstack 2024-02-28 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in python-cryptography versions between >=1.9.0 and <2.3. The finalize_with_tag API did not enforce a minimum tag length. If a user did not validate the input length prior to passing it to finalize_with_tag an attacker could craft an invalid payload with a shortened tag (e.g. 1 byte) such that they would have a 1 in 256 chance of passing the MAC check. GCM tag forgeries can cause key leakage.
CVE-2016-2125 2 Redhat, Samba 8 Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server, Enterprise Linux Server Aus and 5 more 2024-02-28 3.3 LOW 6.5 MEDIUM
It was found that Samba before versions 4.5.3, 4.4.8, 4.3.13 always requested forwardable tickets when using Kerberos authentication. A service to which Samba authenticated using Kerberos could subsequently use the ticket to impersonate Samba to other services or domain users.
CVE-2018-20685 9 Canonical, Debian, Fujitsu and 6 more 30 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, M10-1 and 27 more 2024-02-28 2.6 LOW 5.3 MEDIUM
In OpenSSH 7.9, scp.c in the scp client allows remote SSH servers to bypass intended access restrictions via the filename of . or an empty filename. The impact is modifying the permissions of the target directory on the client side.
CVE-2018-6074 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 2 more 2024-02-28 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
Failure to apply Mark-of-the-Web in Downloads in Google Chrome prior to 65.0.3325.146 allowed a remote attacker to bypass OS level controls via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-6107 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 2 more 2024-02-28 4.3 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
Incorrect handling of confusable characters in URL Formatter in Google Chrome prior to 66.0.3359.117 allowed a remote attacker to perform domain spoofing via IDN homographs via a crafted domain name.
CVE-2018-14618 4 Canonical, Debian, Haxx and 1 more 4 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libcurl and 1 more 2024-02-28 10.0 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
curl before version 7.61.1 is vulnerable to a buffer overrun in the NTLM authentication code. The internal function Curl_ntlm_core_mk_nt_hash multiplies the length of the password by two (SUM) to figure out how large temporary storage area to allocate from the heap. The length value is then subsequently used to iterate over the password and generate output into the allocated storage buffer. On systems with a 32 bit size_t, the math to calculate SUM triggers an integer overflow when the password length exceeds 2GB (2^31 bytes). This integer overflow usually causes a very small buffer to actually get allocated instead of the intended very huge one, making the use of that buffer end up in a heap buffer overflow. (This bug is almost identical to CVE-2017-8816.)
CVE-2017-7514 1 Redhat 1 Satellite 2024-02-28 3.5 LOW 5.4 MEDIUM
A cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw was found in how the failed action entry is processed in Red Hat Satellite before version 5.8.0. A user able to specify a failed action could exploit this flaw to perform XSS attacks against other Satellite users.
CVE-2018-16846 4 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 3 more 2024-02-28 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
It was found in Ceph versions before 13.2.4 that authenticated ceph RGW users can cause a denial of service against OMAPs holding bucket indices.
CVE-2018-18347 3 Debian, Google, Redhat 5 Debian Linux, Chrome, Linux Desktop and 2 more 2024-02-28 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
Incorrect handling of failed navigations with invalid URLs in Navigation in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to trick a user into executing javascript in an arbitrary origin via a crafted HTML page.
CVE-2018-16062 5 Canonical, Debian, Elfutils Project and 2 more 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Elfutils and 4 more 2024-02-28 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
dwarf_getaranges in dwarf_getaranges.c in libdw in elfutils before 2018-08-18 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer over-read) via a crafted file.
CVE-2018-17458 2 Google, Redhat 4 Chrome, Enterprise Linux Desktop, Enterprise Linux Server and 1 more 2024-02-28 6.8 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
An improper update of the WebAssembly dispatch table in WebAssembly in Google Chrome prior to 69.0.3497.92 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page.
