---|---|---|---|---|---|
CVE-2020-16127 | 1 Freedesktop | 1 Accountsservice | 2024-11-21 | 2.1 LOW | 2.8 LOW |
An Ubuntu-specific modification to AccountsService in versions before 0.6.55-0ubuntu13.2, among other earlier versions, would perform unbounded read operations on user-controlled ~/.pam_environment files, allowing an infinite loop if /dev/zero is symlinked to this location. | |||||
CVE-2020-15654 | 2 Canonical, Mozilla | 4 Ubuntu Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 1 more | 2024-11-21 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.5 MEDIUM |
When in an endless loop, a website specifying a custom cursor using CSS could make it look like the user is interacting with the user interface, when they are not. This could lead to a perceived broken state, especially when interactions with existing browser dialogs and warnings do not work. This vulnerability affects Firefox ESR < 78.1, Firefox < 79, and Thunderbird < 78.1. | |||||
CVE-2020-15598 | 2 Debian, Trustwave | 2 Debian Linux, Modsecurity | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
Trustwave ModSecurity 3.x through 3.0.4 allows denial of service via a special request. NOTE: The discoverer reports "Trustwave has signaled they are disputing our claims." The CVE suggests that there is a security issue with how ModSecurity handles regular expressions that can result in a Denial of Service condition. The vendor does not consider this as a security issue because1) there is no default configuration issue here. An attacker would need to know that a rule using a potentially problematic regular expression was in place, 2) the attacker would need to know the basic nature of the regular expression itself to exploit any resource issues. It's well known that regular expression usage can be taxing on system resources regardless of the use case. It is up to the administrator to decide on when it is appropriate to trade resources for potential security benefit | |||||
CVE-2020-15466 | 3 Debian, Opensuse, Wireshark | 3 Debian Linux, Leap, Wireshark | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
In Wireshark 3.2.0 to 3.2.4, the GVCP dissector could go into an infinite loop. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-gvcp.c by ensuring that an offset increases in all situations. | |||||

CVE-2020-14394 | 3 Fedoraproject, Qemu, Redhat | 5 Extra Packages For Enterprise Linux, Fedora, Qemu and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | N/A | 3.2 LOW |
An infinite loop flaw was found in the USB xHCI controller emulation of QEMU while computing the length of the Transfer Request Block (TRB) Ring. This flaw allows a privileged guest user to hang the QEMU process on the host, resulting in a denial of service. | |||||
CVE-2020-14040 | 2 Fedoraproject, Golang | 2 Fedora, Text | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
The x/text package before 0.3.3 for Go has a vulnerability in encoding/unicode that could lead to the UTF-16 decoder entering an infinite loop, causing the program to crash or run out of memory. An attacker could provide a single byte to a UTF16 decoder instantiated with UseBOM or ExpectBOM to trigger an infinite loop if the String function on the Decoder is called, or the Decoder is passed to golang.org/x/text/transform.String. | |||||
CVE-2020-13986 | 1 Contiki-os | 1 Contiki | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in Contiki through 3.0. An infinite loop exists in the uIP TCP/IP stack component when handling RPL extension headers of IPv6 network packets in rpl_remove_header in net/rpl/rpl-ext-header.c. | |||||
CVE-2020-13984 | 1 Contiki-os | 1 Contiki | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in Contiki through 3.0. An infinite loop exists in the uIP TCP/IP stack component when processing IPv6 extension headers in ext_hdr_options_process in net/ipv6/uip6.c. | |||||
CVE-2020-13935 | 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more | 18 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 15 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |

Invalid payload lengths could trigger an infinite loop. Multiple requests with invalid payload lengths could lead to a denial of service. | |||||
CVE-2020-13808 | 1 Foxitsoftware | 2 Phantompdf, Reader | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |

CVE-2020-13602 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2024-11-21 | 2.1 LOW | 4.0 MEDIUM |
Remote Denial of Service in LwM2M do_write_op_tlv. Zephyr versions >= 1.14.2, >= 2.2.0 contain Improper Input Validation (CWE-20), Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition ('Infinite Loop') (CWE-835). For more information, see https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/security/advisories/GHSA-g9mg-fj58-6fqh | |||||
CVE-2020-12885 | 1 Arm | 1 Mbed Os | 2024-11-21 | 7.8 HIGH | 7.5 HIGH |
An infinite loop was discovered in the CoAP library in Arm Mbed OS 5.15.3. The CoAP parser is responsible for parsing received CoAP packets. The function sn_coap_parser_options_parse_multiple_options() parses CoAP options in a while loop. This loop's exit condition is computed using the previously allocated heap memory required for storing the result of parsing multiple options. If the input heap memory calculation results in zero bytes, the loop exit condition is never met and the loop is not terminated. As a result, the packet parsing function never exits, leading to resource consumption. | |||||
CVE-2020-12663 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |

CVE-2020-12457 | 1 Wolfssl | 1 Wolfssl | 2024-11-21 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
An issue was discovered in wolfSSL before 4.5.0. It mishandles the change_cipher_spec (CCS) message processing logic for TLS 1.3. If an attacker sends ChangeCipherSpec messages in a crafted way involving more than one in a row, the server becomes stuck in the ProcessReply() loop, i.e., a denial of service. | |||||
